We are recruiting for a Workshop Manager based locally to Coalville, Leicestershire.
Salary: £45,000 per annum plus an annual bonus.

Main Responsibilities
* Progress and maintain work through the workshop, prioritising repairs in line with customers' and/or business demands managed effectively.
* Minimise vehicle downtime by identifying the most economical repair method both in time and cost.
* Supervise technical repairs and advise or assist technicians with best repair methods, including performing quality checks of vehicles and vehicle repairs.
* Use in-house IT systems to manage and allocate workshop resources, including validating workshop technician hours and controlling overtime.
* Provide prompt and accurate repair and damage quotations.
* Encourage good workshop practices to provide a safe, tidy, and hazard-free working environment ensuring compliance with the Company's health & safety policy regarding accurate data recording of equipment expiries (e.g., ladder logs, axle stand tests, etc.).
* Identify and procure best value vehicle parts and workshop equipment as required.
* Ensure all staff follow Company procedures and adhere to servicing and inspection schedules set out by the Company.
* Encourage all workshop staff to read all service bulletins and product updates from manufacturers and internal sources, and encourage staff input.
* Identify opportunities to explore the manufacturer's warranty and goodwill schemes to best advantage.
* Generate third-party revenue from service and repairs for the workshop from new and existing customers, increasing year on year.
* Manage parts ordering, internal stock, and stock from external suppliers.
Qualifications
* "Time Served" technician with a technical background, ideally in a waste tanker or similar environment (tanker expertise is not essential).
* Strong experience in communicating with internal and external customers/stakeholders, always with the highest levels of professionalism.
* Experience in managing parts/equipment procurement and parts stocking.
* High level of enthusiasm and commitment to driving 100% customer satisfaction.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels using good questioning techniques.
* Highly competent with IT systems, including MS Excel, to manage technician resources and purchase order raising using internal digital systems.
* High level of organisation, ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
* Initiative to work autonomously.
* Ability to push back and challenge.
* Analytical and numerical approach to interpreting data.
* Driving Licence - Full and valid.
