We have a well-established Planning and Environment Team based across the country, who deal with an impressive range of projects including renewable energy, waste, industrial, commercial, and major infrastructure. We have an exciting pipeline of projects, particularly in renewable energy, including solar, battery, and wind technologies.
A taste of what you will do:
* Providing advice and guidance on planning and environmental matters to a variety of clients including leading renewable energy developers, utility and infrastructure companies, waste management operators, house builders, land promoters, and investment institutions throughout all stages of the planning process.
* Shaping and assessing the case for development projects, including determining planning strategies.
* Conducting site appraisals.
* Managing pre-application consultations, preparing planning applications, and appeals.
* Planning project management including coordinating in-house and external technical teams.
* Conducting community consultations.
* Preparing proposals and engaging in some business development activities.
* Liaising with external parties, including developers, landowners, architects, engineers, local authorities, and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
* Supervising the team and providing advice.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and a strong track record working on medium to large scale planning projects. They should demonstrate a high level of technical competency and quality of work, along with good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. The role will require working on multiple projects, so a proven ability to manage time and workload within tight timescales, as well as problem-solving skills, is critical.
