At Penta Precision, we're looking for a Stores Operative to take ownership of goods in/out, and stock control while playing a key role in ensuring our production processes run seamlessly.
Your Role:
As our Stores Operative, you'll be responsible for the smooth and efficient movement of materials in and out of the factory. This will include:
* Goods In: Promptly book in materials and deliveries, ensuring everything is stored correctly and maintaining a well-organised workspace.
* Goods Out: Pack components to a high standard, prepare delivery documentation, and coordinate timely collections with customers and couriers.
* Stock Control: Maintain accurate, traceable stock records, perform regular stock checks, and ensure effective storage of raw materials, finished goods, fixtures, tooling, and consumables.
* Driving & Logistics: Support material deliveries and collections using the Penta van, planning safe and efficient trips.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in department meetings, highlight improvement opportunities, and engage in cross-training and mentoring.
What We're Looking For
* We're seeking a detail-oriented team player who thrives in an organised and structured environment:
* Experience & Skills: Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
* A valid UK driving licence (This is an essential for the role, applications without a full driving licence will not be considered).
* Organisation & Efficiency: Strong ability to manage stock, maintain accurate records, and keep workspaces tidy.
* Communication & Collaboration: Works well within a team, proactively engages with colleagues, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Practical & Technical: Forklift experience (preferred) or willingness to train.
* Commitment to Excellence: A proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and a can-do attitude.
