We are urgently seeking an experienced Teacher of English Language and Literature, with a focus on English as a Second Language (ESL)and expertise in the Cambridge Lower Secondary (CLS) English curriculum (Grades 6–8) and Cambridge IGCSE (Grades 9–10) English Language and Literature.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary English and IGCSE English Language and Literature frameworks.
* Inspire students to build confidence in English language acquisition and develop a passion for literary exploration.
* Use effective ESL strategies to differentiate teaching for students with varying levels of English proficiency.
* Foster critical thinking, analytical writing, and communication skills through diverse texts and grammar development activities.
* Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative assessments, providing actionable feedback to help students meet their academic goals.
* Prepare students for success in Cambridge IGCSE examinations, with a strong focus on English as a Second Language.
* Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment tailored to the needs of international and ESL learners.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, ensuring alignment with the Cambridge framework and a strong foundation in English skills.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enrich the academic environment of the school.
* Encourage participation in extracurricular activities such as debating, creative writing, and literature-focused clubs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* A degree in English, English Literature, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
* A valid teaching qualification with demonstrated experience teaching Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE English.
* Proven expertise in teaching ESL learners, preferably in an international school environment.
* A passion for developing students’ confidence and fluency in English, particularly in ESL contexts.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a collaborative and student-focused approach.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in teaching.
