Calderdale Residential Service continues to thrive, and as we develop further, we are looking to recruit staff to work in one of our Homes within the borough (maximum 3 beds) to provide care and support to Children and Young People aged 8-18.
We seek staff with experience working with Children & Young People who have experienced Trauma, in residential settings.
You will have flexibility to undertake different shift patterns based on the needs and demands of the rota, predominantly including weekend working.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that promotes high standards of care in a fast-paced environment, working alongside experienced staff and aspirational Managers to protect individual needs, promote education, and fully meet physical and emotional health requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

* Support Children and Young People in making informed decisions about their lives
* Respond swiftly to the needs of Children & Young People
* Undertake administrative tasks using IT
* Compose reports for and on behalf of Children & Young People
* Manage and overcome challenging situations
* Work in a team towards common goals
* Commit to Mandatory, Formal, and Informal Learning
* Build relationships with young people, connecting to their needs, ensuring they feel listened to and understood
* Be motivated, energetic, charismatic, enthusiastic, with a sincere ambition for Children & Young People, Self & Colleagues to thrive
You must have a UK Driver’s Licence and be qualified to at least Level 3 or 4 in Children’s & Young People, or be committed to undertaking self-led study within set timeframes.
You will role model positive parenting behaviors, form relationships, advocate, consult with professionals, share setbacks and successes, undertake tasks in changing circumstances, and play a key role within a wider team.
