Themis Recruit is looking for askilled and experienced Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitorbased in Birmingham to manage a caseload of complex clinicalnegligence matters. The successful candidate will play a key rolein defending healthcare professionals and organizations againstclaims of clinical negligence ensuring the highest standards oflegal representation and clientservice.
Responsibilities:
1. CaseManagement:
o Handle acaseload of defendant clinical negligence matters from inception toresolution.
o Conduct legal researchand analysis to provide accurate and timely advice toclients.
o Draft pleadings witnessstatements and other legaldocuments.
2. ClientInteraction:
o Build andmaintain strong client relationships through effectivecommunication andcollaboration.
o Attend clientmeetings providing updates on case progress and addressing clientconcerns.
3. CourtProceedings:
o Representclients in court attending hearings and managing the litigationprocess.
o Conduct negotiations andsettlements on behalf of clients whenappropriate.
4. LegalCompliance:
o Stay abreast ofchanges in relevant laws and regulations affecting clinicalnegligence.
o Ensure compliance withlegal and professionalstandards.
5. TeamCollaboration:
o Collaboratewith colleagues within the firm to share knowledge and bestpractices.
o Mentor junior members ofthe team and contribute to their professionaldevelopment.
Requirements
* QualifiedSolicitor with a minimum of 5 years of postqualification experiencein defendant clinicalnegligence.
* Stronglitigation and advocacy skills with experience handling complexcases.
* Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills.
* Abilityto work independently and collaboratively within ateam.
