CAV Systems are looking for a Design Engineer to join their growing team, during an exciting period of growth. Their proprietary ice protection systems are trusted by the worlds leading Aerospace OEMs to keep aircraft safe in the harshest conditions!
Responsibilities of the Design Engineer
* Generate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings
* Perform a variety of design processes in areas such as aerodynamics, thermodynamics & fluid mechanics, mechanical systems and mechanisms
* Support the development & qualification of new technology such as sensors, controllers, pumps, coatings, materials etc.
* Contribute to the creation of compliance documents such as test reports, design/analysis reports, safety assessments etc.
* Provide support for legacy programs to all stakeholders (manufacturing, operators, OEMs)
* Development of in-house software and engineering tools that can be demonstrated to reduce costs, increase quality or expand existing capability
* Assist practical work building prototypes, machines, assembling test rigs etc.
Experience required for the Design Engineer
* Undergraduate Engineering Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering
* 3D & 2D CAD modelling software such as solidworks, inventor or catia.
* Demonstrable experience of interpreting test data
* Prototyping and testing experience
* Self-motivated with an ability to problem solve
