As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for all warehouse-related activities, team members, and their daily activities. Your primary duties will include planning, coordinating, and controlling all warehouse processes to ensure products are delivered on time. Managing the warehouse team to ensure stock packaging and customer packaging are stored, maintained, and supplied to the highest standard.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Co-ordinate closely with the Production Manager to schedule all works and prioritize accordingly.
2. Maintain and drive high-quality product standards.
3. Closely manage team activities and implement efficiency improvements as required.
4. Co-ordinate business logistics including finished products, waste and recycling, transporting raw materials, etc.
5. Manage the off-site warehouse and ensure the same standards as the main site.
6. Set out training plans as required for all direct reports.
7. Ensure all new employees are correctly inducted and onboarding training is planned and executed.
8. Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and other relevant departments to organize the efficient handling of raw materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods.
9. Assist the Purchasing Manager and lead with the company stock takes.
10. Communicate any warehouse challenges to senior management when required.
11. Carry out annual safety training for Warehouse and Production Teams.
12. Provide holiday cover for the Production Manager when required.
13. Plan weekly vehicle schedule. Ensure effective use of company vehicles and resources.
14. Complete the annual driver assessment checks every 6 and 12 months.
15. Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure all business accreditations are adhered to.
16. Monitor and enforce department and business Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements.
17. Arrange yearly appraisals and catch-ups with the team, identifying opportunities for improvement, targets, and/or new responsibilities.
18. Create Warehouse and Health and Safety reports as required by the business, including near misses and accidents.
19. Create and update storage and warehouse floor plans and standards including product line capacity.
20. Work with the Quality Manager to ensure Warehouse H&S and quality standards are met.
