Job Description:
We are seeking to appoint a Safety Associate to support on a major development project in North Tawton near Exeter. EHS Projects safety team are embedded to monitor and enforce the project’s safety performance. The role is full time, the successful applicant will be supporting the existing team undertaking tasks including but not limited to:
* Deliver contractor inductions and qualification checks.
* Ongoing delivery of the project Permit to Work system.
* Thorough reviews and writing of risk assessments.
* Undertaking site audits and associated reporting.
* Project safety communication and record keeping.
* Support on reporting obligations and data entry.
Essential Skills / Experience
* Two years of experience as a H&S professional or similar technical role.
* Workplace auditing in construction or manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and SHE best practice.
* Client-facing with strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach.
* Proficient report writing skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills / Experience
* NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction or similar qualification.
* Experience with CDM Regulations compliance related projects.
* Experience in the dairy or construction sector.
* Independent diary and time management skills.
* A degree in a Safety or STEM subject.
