Main Purpose of Role:
To lead the promotion and management of our dairy breeds portfolio, which includes Holstein, Jersey, Ayrshire, and British Friesian genetics. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Cogent remains at the forefront of the dairy genetics industry by providing top-quality genetics to meet the evolving demands of both domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Promotion of all dairy breeds and serve as Cogent’s specialist Account Manager leading efforts to promote Cogent’s genetic offerings in both domestic and international markets.
2. Ensure a robust and consistent pipeline of industry-leading Jersey, Ayrshire, and British Friesian genetics, meeting current and future market demands by integrating these breeds into Cogent’s stud.
3. Continuously learn and develop expertise in non-Holstein breeds market, sharing this knowledge with internal teams and external partners to drive informed decision-making.
4. Analyse and enhance the dairy breed portfolio, aligning strategies to meet the needs of Cogent’s domestic and international operations.
5. Assist the sales department in transferring knowledge about dairy breeds, enabling the sales team to promote the very best genetics to their customer base.
6. Collaborate with various departments to assist in the marketing, pricing, and inventory management of dairy breed products, ensuring alignment with market needs.
7. Coordinate embryo inventory and management, working with industry partners to extract the highest value from Cogent’s significant programme investment.
Essential Skills:
1. In-depth knowledge and experience with dairy breeds, particularly Holstein, Jersey, Ayrshire, and British Friesian.
2. Strong account management skills with experience in promoting agricultural or genetic products.
3. Analytical mindset with the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
4. Excellent communication skills for effective knowledge transfer and stakeholder engagement.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Additional Information:
