Associate Buyer - Global Procurement Operations

We are currently looking to recruit an Associate Buyer to our Procurement Team based at our Tranent facilities on an initial 15 month fixed term contract.
The role is an integral part of the UK Procurement team and requires some basic knowledge and experience of procurement alongside good negotiation and communication skills.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you will have a hands-on attitude in building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders across the business. You will support the business in making procurement decisions in the most cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring the required supplies/services are timely available to meet business requirements.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience in a similar procurement or administrative role with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
* Experience in working within a fast-paced procurement environment.
* Strong organisational skills; able to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments/conflicting priorities while reporting on progress.
* Attention to detail and analytical skills with a hands-on approach to resolve issues; using current and historical data to propose business solutions in solving demand and supply mismatches.
* Good understanding of stakeholder relationships with the ability to communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team.
* High level of drive and commitment – results-driven individual who builds high-performance teams.
* Good working knowledge of JAGGAER and SAP experience desirable but not essential.
* Good IT skills, including all Microsoft Office applications, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Salary for this role will be dependent on skills and experience.
Upon appointment, the title of this role will be Associate Buyer.
