Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Support Worker to work in the Endoscopy department. Appropriate training will be given as required.
Post holders will be appointed at band 2 or band 3 depending upon qualifications.
Band 2 requirements: willingness to undertake all relevant training and qualifications if wishing to develop into a band 3 role.
Band 3 requirements: Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or GCSE equivalent (A-C/ 4-9), Care certificate, or completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties.
Main duties of the job
We require individuals that are committed and enthusiastic Clinical Support Workers to work in this busy expanding Endoscopy team and work across sites as required.
The post holders will be expected to work with the Endoscopy team providing specialist care for Endoscopy patients pre, peri, and post-procedure.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and work closely with all members of multi-disciplinary teams, meet the person specification, and be able to perform under pressure.
Applicants must be willing to complete the in-house competency training.

Person specification
Knowledge and Skills (Both)
* Insight into behaviours and skills of a carer and the need for effective teamwork.
* Awareness of GDPR and the need for confidentiality.
* Familiarity with current NHS and social care policies.
* Working knowledge of STHFT policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING Band 3
* Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 or equivalent qualifications.
* Care certificate.
* Level 3 vocational qualification or completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties.
Experience Band 3
* Experience of working in health or social care.
