The Role:
Staunton Farm sits on the historic Staunton estate, featuring ornamental gardens, a tropical glasshouse, and the farm itself.
As Visitor Services Assistant, you will be on the front line of the Farm, welcoming visitors and providing them with an experience that will inspire them to return. The role will be varied and much of it will be customer-facing; working as part of the Visitors Services Team to ensure visitors get the most out of their visit. You will manage the front desk, connect visitors with what’s on at the park, and handle memberships, admissions, and holiday events. Additionally, you will work in our Farm Shop, selling local produce and maintaining high food safety, compliance, and shop presentation standards.
Communication will be key, from face-to-face contact with visitors to telephone and online interactions, including email, the website, and social media. There are also key administrative tasks that will need to be completed to ensure the smooth running of the business and to support excellent visitor experiences.
You will need relevant experience in a similar role or retail, working with the public, and possess excellent communication skills. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required, and knowledge of the local community and environment will be a considerable advantage. Finally, you should be enthusiastic, inspiring, and flexible, able to work within a small team and on your own initiative.
The days required for the role are: Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Please note this role includes weekend and Bank Holiday working and requires a flexible person that can work early and late shifts to support the business needs during our key events throughout the year.
