The Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking to recruit a full time Childcare Funding Co-ordinator.
Situated within Children’s Services (Early Years and Childcare), the postholder will be responsible for coordinating and preparing the financial payments and finance administration services for Early Learning and Childcare.
The postholder will manage the preparation and monitoring of Service budgets and be responsible for the implementation and adherence to processes and protocols that are compliant with the Department for Education Statutory Guidance for the delivery of the entitlement to free early education.
Along with a co-worker, the postholder is responsible for the effective delivery and day to day management of the payments process ensuring data integrity, managing data submissions from childcare providers and facilitating payments.
While headcount processes are central to this role, there are other elements which make it an interesting and varied role that will enhance your skills and experience.

* Evidence of the ability to analyse financial data and information to process and report on.
* Well developed interpersonal and communication skills which engage stakeholders and build strong relationships with those from a range of disciplines from the voluntary, community, business and statutory sectors.
* Ability to use initiative and meet deadlines.
About the role…
* Receiving, auditing, processing and preparing payments to early years and childcare providers and other suppliers.
* Supporting service providers to comply with the financial and sector regulations with regard to early years entitlements.
* Producing regular financial and data reports on take-up of provision and spend.
* Carrying out compliance audits.
* Developing positive relationships and trust with multi-agency partners and internal colleagues.
Please note much of this role has already been established and is one of two postholders delivering these functions. The postholder, with support and onboarding, will continue undertaking existing procedures and then further develop and improve them.
