As we continue to grow, we are seeking a pro-active, enthusiastic and ambitious Continuous Improvement Technician to join our dynamic team.
Job Purpose
The Continuous Improvement Technician will work closely with the Continuous Improvement Manager to assist with the development and improvement of a culture that drives continuous improvement. The role will involve the analysis of existing processes, gathering data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of continuous improvement projects as well as the enhancement of operational safety, minimising risks, and promoting a proactive approach to safety.

Key Responsibilities •
* Continuous Improvement Development: Collect, organize, and analyse performance data to aid the progress of improvement initiatives. Provide reports that highlight trends, issues, and areas requiring attention. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of continuous improvement projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals. Help monitor the implementation of changes and track their effectiveness. Support the creation and delivery of training materials related to continuous improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., TQM, Six Sigma) to enhance team performance and knowledge.
* Health and Safety Development: Provide support and guidance on safety legislation and good practices to the operations department. Identify, assist, and drive Health and Safety improvement projects and actions. Provide support in accident and incident investigations. Develop and work with operations teams to produce and review accurate and safe systems of work within our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), alongside the creation and monitoring of Risk Assessments. Assist with the creation of toolbox talks, safety briefs and other safety initiatives. • Learning and Development: Take advantage of on-the-job training and development opportunities to build continuous improvement and safety knowledge and skills.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the operations team, helping them to contribute to the overall success of the projects.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential: A relevant science or food science degree or a proven track record in Continuous Improvement.
* Desirable: A Health and Safety accreditation such as NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety qualification or previous Health and Safety experience.
* Desirable: Prior experience in a food manufacturing related environment, such as an internship or part-time role.
* Desirable: Relevant certifications or previous experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g.; TQM, Six Sigma, etc) and data analysis and interpretation experience.
