Job overview
An exciting opportunity for x2 Band 6 Research Nurses to join the Agile Research Delivery Team in supporting multiple specialty studies across UCLH Trust. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Nurse to provide exceptional specialist nursing care to a wide variety of patients across multiple specialties (Neurology, Women’s health, Paediatrics, Infectious disease, and many others) and deliver different phases of research across the trust. This includes early phase clinical trials as well as larger scale multicentre studies. The successful candidate will need willingness to learn and an interest in working across a range of specialties at UCLH/UCL.
The post holder will be supported by the Senior Research Team within the unit, and the role is ideal for highly motivated individuals who are keen to develop their career in Clinical Research Nursing/Clinical Trials. The post holders will work in close collaboration with Principal Investigator and Research Support Staff, to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial specific protocols.
Main duties of the job
As Research Nurse, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our clinical research within the research directorate division. You will provide specialist skills and knowledge to coordinate and manage clinical trials and be responsible for providing high-quality research. Your main responsibility will be ensuring the recruitment of patients, completion of trial related activities, and reliable data collection as per protocol requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research Governance, and local Trust policies for research. You will be required to plan and manage your own workload effectively and demonstrate effective time management and prioritisation. A proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented approach is essential.

Knowledge and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Part 1,2 12
* Experience in delivering evidence based-practice
* Clinical experience in neurology and neurosurgery
* Completed/working towards a degree in the specialty or related fields
* Teaching or mentor course
Experience
* Clinical research experience
* Experience of formal/informal teaching of patients and staff
* Experience in delivering evidence based-practice
* Clinical trials experience
* Experience of phlebotomy, cannulation and management of central lines
* Experience in caring for complex and acutely ill patients
* Experience of acting as a patient advocate
* Experience working as a preceptor/facilitator
* Previous experience in audit and evaluation
Skills and Abilities

* Proven knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines
