Area Sales Manager - Field Based
Role: Monday-Friday, Full-time, Permanent
Office Location: Northfleet, Essex / Field based
Salary: £42-48k + Car Allowance & bonus scheme (OTE 30% bonus - 7.5% every quarter)
Role Covering: London, Northern Home Counties & East Anglia
Project Partners are now on the lookout for an experienced Senior Sales Consultant or Area Sales Manager to join a fantastic team in Northfleet, Essex. This is a field-based role where you will work from home, with occasional office work required.
This role involves selling concrete products (Blocks/Bricks/Paving).
Responsibilities:
1. Increase profitability by achieving sales targets, generating leads, building customer relationships, and ensuring effective pricing.
2. Grow relationships with existing customers to maximize sales opportunities.
3. Acquire new customers through coordinated business development activities.
4. Establish cooperative working relationships with other employees.
5. Achieve individual sales targets and proactively champion the team's objectives to achieve unit targets.
6. Provide a professional customer service approach to ensure a superior customer experience.
7. Manage personal work activities, ensuring workload is achieved to agreed deadlines and quality standards.
8. Maintain knowledge of company processes, procedures, databases, and supporting information to maximize sales opportunities.
9. Adhere to legislation and company Health & Safety policies.
10. Promote employee involvement in Health & Safety practices and lead by example.
11. Demonstrate good verbal, written communication, numeracy, and IT skills.
Candidate Experience:
1. Good level of IT skills and knowledge of standard computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP.
2. GCSE or A Level Education.
3. Previous sales and negotiation experience.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Broad product knowledge awareness.
6. Ability to achieve and exceed expectations and targets.
7. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial spirit.
8. Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
9. Full UK Driving License.
10. Specific product and industry knowledge (Desirable).
11. Experience dealing with both National & Independent Builders Merchants (Desirable).
