We are looking for a highly motivated Caretaker who is organised, good at undertaking general repairs and maintenance, and can demonstrate initiative to join Stalyhill Federation School’s staff team. The role is based at Stalyhill Junior School, but may involve working at the close by Stalyhill Infant School.
The successful candidate will ensure that the school is well maintained, clean, safe, and secure with keyholder responsibilities.
We are looking for someone with a good range of skills including building and grounds maintenance, general DIY, security, cleaning, and an understanding of health and safety issues. The role will involve practical and physical work.
You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of people including children, staff, parents, visitors, and contractors, liaising with contractors for building and repair works.
You will undertake cleaning duties and be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness around the school.
The role is required 25 hours per week, 12.45pm - 5.45pm Mon - Fri. You will be able to work flexibly, being available to work possible occasional weekends and evenings as paid overtime if required.
