We are very excited to announce our partnership with a leading Events Organisation, who have a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Cleaning & Waste Management to join and lead their Cleaning & Waste Management department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large scale cleaning operations, waste management, and implementing sustainable practices.
The Head of Cleaning & Waste Management will be responsible for:
Lead, mentor, and manage direct reports & the wider the Cleaning and Waste Management teams effectively, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluating to continue to attract & retain a high calibre team.
Create and deliver a long-term vision for the Cleaning and Waste Management teams that ensures maximum customer satisfaction for organisers, exhibitors, and visitors whilst actively meeting our ESG targets & realising additional revenue.
Develop a new area of specialism and expertise for ‘waste management’ as a distinct subject, and work with the Waste Manager to proactively develop this innovation for the business.
Implement sustainable practices to reduce waste generation, increase recycling rates, and minimize environmental impact.
The Head of Cleaning & Waste Management will have:
Previous leadership experience in Cleaning & Waste Management at a similar sized venue or equivalent.
Knowledge of sustainability principles and experience implementing sustainable practices in cleaning and waste management.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, waste management practices, and environmental regulations.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex situations and make strategic decisions.
