Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: After February 2025 Half Term

GSL Education are seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant in Scunthorpe to work with students who require additional guidance to engage in learning effectively. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people.
As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will work closely with students who need extra support to manage their emotions and behaviour in a school setting. Your role will be crucial in helping them develop coping strategies, build confidence, and improve their engagement with learning.
Responsibilities of a Behavioural Support Assistant:
* Provide tailored one-to-one or small group support to students with behavioural needs.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive learning experiences.
* Assist the class teacher in maintaining a structured and inclusive classroom environment.
* Help students develop social and emotional skills to improve their interactions with peers and staff.
* Support students in managing their emotions and responding to challenges effectively.
* Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour intervention plans.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents/carers.
* Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Behavioural Support Assistant Skills & Qualification:
* Previous experience as a Behavioural Support Assistant or in a similar role.
* Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in challenging situations.
* A background in psychology, counselling, or education is desirable.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
