Are you an GMC registered Psychiatry doctor, with experience of working in Psychiatry as part of a multi-disciplinary team? Join the Eating Disorder team at Tŷ Glyn Ebwy as a Resident Medical Officer and deliver high-quality clinical service across an eating disorder service under the direction of the responsible clinicians. As an RMO you will be delivering a high-quality clinical service to service users, attending seclusion reviews and escalated incidents within a timely manner. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will take a specific focus on physical health, food and fluids and risk management across the ward working closely with the Consultant, ward manager, and wider MDT. You will be working alongside Consultant Psychiatrists at Tŷ Glyn Ebwy, as well as the wider MDT of which they form an integral part. There is a regular multi-disciplinary team meeting daily and weekly so that care and treatment is adequately planned. The team has dedicated administrative support which is based within the hospital. There are great learning opportunities as you work with the full multidisciplinary team and can benefit from the active service user and staff forums at Tŷ Glyn Ebwy. The RMO Doctor role involves: · Review the mental state and physical health of service users. · Ensure adequate handover to colleagues. · Take a lead with managing any physical health concerns that emerge during inpatient stay. · Seek collateral history from other professionals and family. · Complete admission assessments in a timely manner. · Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical treatment at all times, including referral to the local A&E Department if required. · Attend monthly clinical and managerial supervision sessions.
