The North 8 Pathology Network is entering an exciting phase, considering next steps in its development that take advantage of the increasing maturity of network relationships and functions and exploring the transformation opportunities available to the collaborative. This is a unique opportunity for an enterprising and highly motivated Network Director with significant pathology leadership experience to join the Network Senior Leadership Team. The N8 Network Programme Director is integral to the delivery of the N8 Pathology Network, playing a pivotal role in developing the plan to deliver a high-profile, complex programme of work to establish the N8 Network and ensuring the overall integrity and coherence of the programme of work. The role is also crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum, working with all members of Trust and Pathology teams and wider stakeholders including ICBs. The postholder will be responsible for identifying risks and issues, operating as
a skilled negotiator and 'unblocker' to drive progress towards delivery, whilst responsible for managing the production of a network business case together with other key stakeholders and providing direction and coordination, and ensuring that documentation complies with NHSE and requirements., This is a senior leadership role as part of the N8 Pathology Network Senior Leadership Team. The post holder will be required to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders on a range of business sensitive issues to a wide range of audiences including executive directors. To lead on the programme of work which will be monitored against the 7 domains in the maturity matrix.
Engage with and influence a range of system partners and service users across the pathology Network footprint to ensure that programmes of work deliver the desired outcomes for the population. Lead the N8 Maturity Programme, managing complex programme interdependencies. Encourage strong and open working relationships between Network partner organisations. Develop strong and effective relationships with clinical and operational leads across the Network providers and regional teams. Manage potentially antagonistic situations with staff and stakeholders within an operational setting working to successful outcomes.Deal with complex and conflicting subject matter problems or in day-today work load in workshops, meetings, one-on-one communications and other events, comprising various parts of the business.Conveys networking concepts clearly and through a variety of communication routes to nurture key relationships with senior and high-profile individuals.
