BSL Lecturer (Temporary) Location: Kent Hours per Week: 4 hours Contract Duration: Until 30/04/2025 Job Type: Part-time, Temporary We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic BSL Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a period of staff sickness. This role involves teaching British Sign Language (BSL) from Level 1 to Level 2. You will play a crucial role in the expansion and development of the department, aiming to deliver the highest quality education to students of varying abilities. Day-to-day of the role: Teach BSL to students at Level 1 and Level 2. Classes are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Work closely with the Curriculum Manager to enhance the department's offerings. Engage in marketing events and promote BSL courses across the ESOL curriculum area. Utilise industry experience to inspire and support students from diverse backgrounds in achieving their career and life ambitions. Maintain accurate student records and manage administrative tasks efficiently. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in teaching BSL and/or relevant industry experience. Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent). Qualified FE teacher or willingness to work towards this qualification. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and confidently to class groups in an engaging manner. Efficient administration skills for effective student record-keeping.
