The Grange Care Home in Surrey offers not only long-term residential and nursing care but also respite and daycare services. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Home Administrator (6 months to 1 year contract) to join our team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
The Home Administrator is an integral part of both the Home and Support Office functions. You will assist the Home Management with a variety of administrative activities to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Answering the office telephone and serving as the first point of contact for all inquiries, assessing each call and directing it to the relevant person.
2. Greeting and assisting visitors to the home as time allows.
3. Managing petty cash and credit card usage, ensuring all balances are correct at the end of each month.
4. Exercising proper stock control over stationery supplies and reordering when necessary.
5. Handling all HR administration for the home, such as new starter paperwork, DBS checks, and maintaining up-to-date staff files while ensuring confidentiality.
6. Sending payroll and invoices to the Accounts Office.
This role will be busy but rewarding. You will need to be naturally organised and possess strong communication skills. Excellent customer service abilities, along with the capacity to prioritise tasks and remain calm during hectic times, are essential.
Requirements:
