The Project Manager is to deliver multiple on-going projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The role also involves working closely with the Estimating Department, site delivery teams and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner, whilst ensuring customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded. Experience - Extensive experience of managing projects within Civil and Water sectors. - Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting. - Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent. - Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent. - CSCS manager’s card. - SMSTS - Knowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms. - Excellent communication, people and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentor. - Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion. - Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance. - Problem solving and analytical thinking. - Experience of a direct labour organisation. Job Responsibilities Produce financial forecast, monitoring and controlling project costs and cost reporting, and produce monthly reports to Contracts Manager on project performance, efficient team building and labour organisation. Deliver projects from design phase to completion including all handover documentation. Review progress, budget resources and forward planning. Review work packages and ensure scope of work is clearly defined and understood. Chair weekly site meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions. Set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations Ensure all HSE-related documents are kept up to date. Produce monthly reports for HSE team. Allocate HSE responsibilities and duties for site personnel, check understanding and provide training as necessary. Liaise with third parties to ensure compliance with HSG47, HAUC, NRSWA and Chapter 8 and other required regulatory standards. Be responsible for managing and producing ITP’s and ensure they are signed off by relevant parties. Ensure that the QA File is produced and maintained.
