Support the Head of HSQE inmanaging compliance within our organisation and supportfurther
development andimplementation of HSQE policies andprocedures.
Crucial to the role isbeing both a field & office based HSQE Advisor conductingonsite inspections and
auditsaccident and incident investigations delivering safety training/briefings on site forwork
activities compiling detailedreports attending site meetings and developing new safetyrelated
procedures/ safe systemsof work to support both business growth and alignment to industrybest
practice.
Perform all duties in line with the Company s HSQE Policies andProcedures
Assist the Head ofHSQE with managing the business HSQEcompliance.
Support the Head ofHSQE in maintaining ISO 9001/14001/ 45001 certifications andhosting
external audits onsite.
Conduct on site complianceaudits in accordance with the HSQE internal audit programmeand
monitor behaviouralsafety.
Ensure HSQE assurance ofprojects maintain safety standards on site and developCDM
documentation forprojects.
Provide weekly HSQEreports to the Head of HSQE.
Undertake internal National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS)audits report findings to the
Headof HSQE and develop competencypassports.
Provide feedback toall operatives contractors supervisors and managers; advising onHSQE
improvements and following upon all actions to ensure that they areeffective.
Develop and implementsafe systems of work for ongoing siteactivities.
Develop and promoteinternal Health and Safety Bulletins HSQE informationand
documentation.
Provide advice and assist with the writing of risk assessmentsCOSHH assessments and
methodstatements.
Plan create anddeliver HSQE training to on site operatives includingsubcontractors who may
needspecific HSQE training to carry out a particular project task or toenhance HSQE standards
onsite.
Report CAPA s and record onthe database systems evaluate trends on reporteditems.
Investigate accidentsincidents complaints and corrective actions taken onsite.
Provide up to dateinformation with the collation of monthly HSQE KPI data and graphsfor
Contracts projects andManagement Reviews.
Assist withcollating waste and energy data for projects andContracts.
Assist with themaintenance of all HSQE records for thebusiness.
Assist withdocumentation reviews andupdates.
Conduct routine drug andalcohol checks.
Perform otherreasonable duties as required by thebusiness.
Attend/ deliverbriefings trainings or updates at the business office at agreedintervals with the
Head ofHSQE
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications: NEBOSH H&S Diploma or higher i.e.BSc & UtilitiesProject
Experience.
Minimum Qualifications: NEBOSH Construction/ H&SCertificate & proven record ofutilities
experience.
Application Knowledge of CDM and EnvironmentalLegislation.
Experience inundertaking accident/ incidentinvestigations.
Goodunderstanding of health safety and environmental management systemsand conducting
audits on processesand documentation.
Evidence ofcontinued professionaldevelopment.
Experience of bothsupporting and mentoring colleagues in health safety qualityand
environmentalmanagement.
Experience ofdeveloping and implementing KPI s andtargets.
Excellent organisationmultitasking skills and ability to work underpressure.
Ability to motivateteams and influence safe working practices to operational staffworking in
highriskenvironments.
Experience withimplementing and monitoring Safe Systems of Work withinConstruction Works.
Experience inthe use of Microsoft programs word excel access with good keyboardskills
