4 on 4 off Days / Nights (0630/1800 1830/0630) Salary Range: upto £45k per year depending on experience Key Accountabilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner to minimise downtime. Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and improve efficiency. Carry out installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including fault logs and maintenance schedules. Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability. Participate in shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of ongoing issues and priorities. Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed. Respond quickly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production. Skills and Experience Required Qualifications : NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Experience : Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment. Skills : Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Technical Expertise : A balanced skill set in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. Flexibility : Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and nights. Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
