Day-to-day of the role:
* Assemble protection and control panels.
* Layout and mechanical assembly of panels according to General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
* Perform electrical wiring according to schematic drawings.
* Conduct electrical interconnection wiring and point-to-point checks of completed panels.
* Assemble P&C panels on switchgear and perform mechanical fitting.
* Provide general assistance in the production area, including maintaining cleanliness, managing stock levels of standard panel build equipment, and completing production paperwork.
* Aid production engineers by contributing to production requirements, installing equipment in sub-stations, cutting cable, fitting with cable identification labels, and testing equipment.
* Identify and communicate any potential health and safety risks in the production area.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical schematics.
* General IT skills (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
* Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., Level 3 qualified in a relevant field, BTEC, City and Guilds electrical qualification, or recognised apprenticeship/training body).
* Desirable: Experience in electrical control panel wiring and assembly of protection and control panels used to control medium voltage switchgear.
