Would you like to be an integral part of growing the Paediatric Psychological Therapies Service within a creative and enthusiastic team who prioritise supporting our staff and their development by providing both individual and group supervision as well as regular team discussions?
We are very excited to invite applications to several new permanent Band 7 post in our Paediatric Psychological Therapies team. This post has come about as we have brought external SLAs in-house and fixed-term posts are now able to be recruited on a permanent basis. We have funding for 0.5 WTE working at Basildon Hospital within the Mid & South Essex NHS Trust.
We are a unique and vibrant hospital-based multidisciplinary team which includes Psychotherapists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Art Therapists, Music Therapists, Mental Health Liaison staff and Administrators.
You will work across a broad range of paediatric patient groups, such as Neonatal, Type 1 Diabetes and Oncology, working with both inpatients and outpatients and their families. There is also an exciting opportunity to work within our specialist Infant Bereavement Service. In addition, the post holder will help support staff through reflective practice.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individuals, who are resilient and flexible and able to meet the challenge of this complex work. We require a fully accredited and qualified candidates who are able to work on their own initiative, as well as in a supportive team with a displayed interest in the link between physical and psychological health. This is a rare opportunity to join and grow our paediatric service for the future.
Interviews will be in two stages to give candidates a clear idea of the post and for us to experience them in both group and individual settings.
