As part of our Chief Engineer's Asset Intelligence and Innovation team, we’re tackling some of the most pressing challenges in the water sector, from harnessing cutting-edge technologies to shaping global water strategies. Now, we need an Infrastructure Innovation Architect to spearhead our AI/ML initiatives and drive transformative outcomes for our business, our customers, and the environment.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. Visionary Planning: Craft and implement AI driven strategies to tackle both immediate and long-term challenges across water and wastewater management, with a focus on the next two years.
2. Technology Roadmaps: Develop and execute comprehensive AI and underpinning technology and data roadmaps that align with Severn Trent’s business strategies, demonstrating incremental value delivery.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business stakeholders to synchronize technology roadmaps with strategic planning, enhancing business capability maturity and value realization.
4. Portfolio Development: Define a dynamic innovation portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on their strategic value and business impact.
5. Innovative Scouting: Lead the discovery and assessment of future trends and emerging technologies that align with Severn Trent’s strategic goals, staying ahead of industry trends through market research, networking, and key event participation.
6. Driving Best Practices: Establishing and promoting best practices for AI/ML development and deployment both internally across the organization and externally across the sector.
7. Relationship Building: Foster robust relationships with stakeholders, academic institutions, government agencies, and industrial partners to drive collaboration and innovation.
8. Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader internally and within the sector by articulating complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to diverse audiences, both internally and externally.
9. Engaging Senior Leadership: Presenting AI/ML strategies and insights to the executive team to inform decision-making.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

In this role, we will look for you to have a great amount of experience within the AI/ML solutions architecture with deep expertise in model development. You will also have the ability to craft and articulate long-term AI/ML strategies that drive innovation and efficiency.
We want someone who has proven experience in engaging cross-functional teams, mentoring talent, and influencing senior stakeholders to adopt and invest in AI/ML initiatives as well as a strong understanding of water and wastewater utilities, coupled with the ability to align AI strategies with business goals.
