Develop Systems Engineering processes, such as requirements management, validation planning and acceptance criteria definition * Lead, review and deliver requirements management activities across various stages of the Process / Plant development lifecycle. This will include capture and definition of requirements as well as managing and communicating change * Work with internal and external partners and suppliers to scope work packages and prepare specifications, then drive them through to successful delivery * Through clear definition and management of work package requirements, enable robust cost and time control of our chemical process development projects * Define and manage verification and validation activities * Further support chemical process development by providing engineering input, such as * HAZOP / HAZID * System FMEA * electrical and controls design * P&ID / PFD * Logic diagrams * component selection * test and experiment design and execution * Coach, train and mentor others in company to develop the team’s understanding and capability in Systems Engineering principles, tools and methodsEssential * A degree in electrical, chemical or similar engineering, or equivalent level of experience * At least two years’ experience in a role with significant systems engineering content * The ability to perform engineering mathematical calculations, such as electrical power, heat and flow * Competent computer skills such as excel formulae, visio and CAD drafting software * Ability to assume responsibility, be flexible, perform duties and handle multiple tasks safely under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions * The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business-like and professional manner * Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues.
