We are looking for a skilled Welfare Fitter to join our JP Accommodation Team. In this hands on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of welfare units, ensuring they meet customer specifications and are completed to the highest standards. You will fit out welfare units with essential facilities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Main responsibilities include:
> Fit out, refurbish, and repair welfare accommodation units according to drawings and standard layouts, using hand tools, power tools, saws, measuring instruments, and other equipment, as trained.
> Identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions with welfare units
> Ensure all work is completed with a focus on quality, productivity, and safety, adhering to health and safety regulations.
> Perform checks, including off-hires, and report any damages or shortages on hire advice.
> Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, conducting safety checks and implementing safe working practices.
> Accurately record all work completed, parts used, and related documentation, such as checklists, job sheets, and chargeable jobs.
> Attend breakdowns where necessary and perform on site repairs and work on customers sites where necessary.
> Perform regular inspections and tests on the welfare units and/or generators to ensure they are in good working condition.
> Maintain high company standards and promote exceptional customer service at all times.
> Proven experience working with welfare units and installing essential facilities such as toilets, hot water systems, heating, canteen areas, drying rooms, and generators.
> Strong understanding of low-voltage DC systems and generators.
> A keen eye for detail to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks within set timeframes, maintaining quality throughout.
> Strong communication skills, especially in explaining technical issues clearly.
