Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Supervisor will be instrumental in the coordination of all activities relating to management of general site buildings and supporting infrastructure. Prioritising workload, coordinating actions within the relevant legislative framework and minimising disruption to day-to-day site activities and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing completion of prioritised actions in a timely manner against the latest site structural survey, fire risk assessment, Roller Shutter Doors, and asbestos survey.
2. Manage all daily work requests from all colleagues and external stakeholders.
3. Manage the Cooling water dispenser 3 monthly services and update the asset register.
4. Assist the Competent person (External Consultant) who reviews the annual Fire Risk Assessments by accompanying him/her whilst conducting all reviews.
5. Ensure all Documents relating to Maintaining works are Archived within the Facilities Department. Any other documents to be passed over to the relevant departments for similar Archiving.
6. Maintenance of grounds vegetation and perimeter fencing including railway and quarries.
7. Maintenance of roller shutter doors. Ensure the Asset list and site plan is maintained and updated.
8. Maintenance of all works Boilers and electric water heaters. Ensure the Asset register and Works Plan is updated.
9. Internal decorating of all office buildings and floor coverings.
10. External cladding maintenance to all buildings.
11. Maintenance of all office doors, fire doors and windows.
12. Maintenance to car park, all plant roads and all works authorised walking routes.
13. Maintenance of building roofs (including build-up & vegetation management), rainwater systems and skylights.
14. Management of the window cleaning contract for the site.
15. Maintenance of all welfare & office plumbing & drainage including toilets & showers for the site
16. Maintenance of works welfare facilities including canteen, carrying out due diligence on canteen areas to meet hygiene compliance.
17. Floor painting, handrail and platform painting, road signage and pedestrian crossings both internal and external to plant buildings.
18. Organise, Manage and maintain the Marquees for the Major Shutdowns.
19. To be the main point of contact for all work associated with Centreplain Limited. Work closely with the Supervisor to prioritise their workload by updating on a weekly basis their workload spreadsheet, and dates of completed work.
20. Assist in any CAPEX that involves work directly responsible to the Facilities Manager.
21. If External assistance is required, including suppliers and contractors, that all relevant Safety documents are readily available, signed, and filed after the job. This includes RAMS, COSHH Data sheets, Competencies of individual contractors, Job Control Forms, Permits, Access permissions i.e. Rail and Quarries.
22. Prioritise workload that may only be completed during a planned shutdown. Supervise those contractors directly related to yourself ie BVD, CRL or any other planned work from yourself.
23. Management of actions associated with Legionella Risk Assessments and routine compliance monitoring e.g. temperature adjustments / removal of deadlegs and pipework / calorifier inspections / Maintenance and upkeep of the potable water supply system
24. Assistance with utility surveys and clearance for breaking ground
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Qualifications:
25. NEBOSH National General Certificate
26. Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification
27. Level 4 Diploma in Facilities Management
28. Duty to Manage Asbestos (Appointed Person)
29. F Gas Awareness/Management training
Experience:
30. 3 years relevant supervisory & management experience
31. Personnel and cost management skills relevant to managing a defined financial budget.
32. Financial planning ability, including longer-term budget management & shorter-term cost control.
