ROLE PURPOSE
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate learner-focused Adult Care Tutor to deliver high quality, supportive, and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled in their programmes in London and surrounding areas. You will be delivering Adult Care qualifications from level 3 to level 5.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Taking full responsibility for a caseload of 30 - 35 learners.
2. Engaging and supporting learners in a face-to-face setting with some blended delivery and workplace observation to achieve qualifications in a timely manner.
3. Managing a caseload of learners effectively, meeting OFSTED and Awarding Bodies requirements in teaching, learning, and assessment.
4. Ensuring that KPIs are met through effective caseload management.
5. Undertaking induction, initial assessment, diagnostic, ILP, skills scan, and reviews with learners, ensuring feedback is provided and acted upon appropriately.
6. Developing scheme of work, lesson plans, and course resources for the delivery of the qualifications.
7. Maintaining regular contact with employers throughout the full learning journey.
8. Delivering and managing learning of the qualifications using an e-portfolio system.
9. Embedding functional skills in the delivery of the qualification and providing the relevant support and guidance to meet the required standards.
10. Supporting a caseload of learners by providing effective advice, guidance, and training to progress into sustainable employment, work placement, apprenticeship, or further education.
11. Accurately and securely recording learner progress, setting targets, and agreeing areas of improvement.
12. Ensuring that 95% of learners achieve their qualification within the agreed timescales.
13. Embedding British values, prevent, safeguarding, equality, and diversity throughout the teaching.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience of teaching learners aged 16+.
2. Experience of assessing Adult Care qualifications up to level 3.
3. Relevant occupational competency gained from working within the care sector.
4. Experience of delivering work-based training.
5. Teaching qualification at level 4 or above.
6. Assessors/Verifiers Award D32/34 / A1, TAQA, CAVA.
7. Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care.
