Technical Support Lead Engineer
Providing technical expertise and knowledge on plant equipment, PLC's, robotics, drives, and a range of electrical/mechanical systems. As a Senior member of the maintenance team, this person will play a key role in resolving technical problems, fault finding, and troubleshooting. This would be the perfect role for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to further their career and apply their technical knowledge in a manufacturing engineering environment.
Shift pattern: Continentals - 2 week days and 2 week nights, with a salary approx £53k.
The Role
1. Provide expert technical knowledge on plant-wide equipment
2. Technical support to the maintenance team on fault finding and troubleshooting
3. Work across PLC systems, controls, robotics, drives, and electrical systems
4. Adjust, calibrate and monitor inverter drives and temperature controllers
5. Support in the development of preventative maintenance planning
6. Planned and reactive maintenance on production plant and equipment
7. Respond to breakdowns and resolve faults quickly
8. Continuous improvement and machine upgrades
9. Complete and update robotic software and backups
What we are looking for:
1. Level 3 apprenticeship in Engineering, Mechatronic or Electrical
2. Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production setting
3. Excellent technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
4. Multi-skilled across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
5. Experienced working with PLC's, control systems, and preferably robotics
6. Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills
