Sr. Accounting Manager in Cheswick, Pennsylvania
We are looking for a Sr Accounting Manager to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location!
Your Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain general ledgers of the facility, preparing operating and financial statements.
2. Manage/Assist with development of annual rates for Overhead and SG&A.
3. Manage/Participate in the preparation of Forward Pricing Rates (FPR) and Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) (as required) to DCAA.
4. Review Billings/Collections and interact with DCMA when required.
5. Review/Approve monthly account reconciliations.
6. Manage/Assist in Annual Cost Center Budgeting preparation and review.
7. Manage/Assist in monitoring IR&D spend/budgets.
8. Review Proposals before submitting to management.
9. Support ongoing development and enhancement of Corporate financial systems.
10. Partner with our Internal, External, Government (DCAA) auditors, the Finance Center of Excellence (COE) team, and the Corporate Finance team as needed.
11. Assist in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to accounting, financial management and/or budget as needed.
12. Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement/business process optimization regarding processes and technology.
What you Bring:
1. Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
2. BA or BS degree in Accounting/Finance with 10+ years’ experience.
3. 3-5 years’ Manager/Supervisory experience.
4. Oracle ERP systems knowledge preferred.
5. Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
6. Thorough understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) along with other regulatory or government regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
7. An understanding of manufacturing business processes preferably in a project-based business environment is a plus.
8. Must be well organized, flexible, have the ability to carry on multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop effective working relationships.
10. Strong collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to list, solve complex problems, and deal with ambiguity.
