The Job Role and Responsibilities Primary Purpose The SEND Administrator provides critical support to the Senior Administrator, SEND Admin team, and Supported Learning Department. This role ensures smooth administrative operations to aid learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Responsibilities 1. Learner Support Assist with taxi rotas, liaise with operators, and support students using this service. Maintain confidential learner records, ensuring data complies with agreed standards. Track and identify learners requiring access arrangements, updating college systems accordingly. Collaborate with the exams office and liaise with external organizations for reports and medical documentation. Research resources to support exam concession equipment within purchasing regulations. 2. Administrative Support for Learning Support Services Update access arrangement and EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) records under supervision. Manage trackers for learning support, exam access arrangements, and taxi rotas. Support tutors through EBS reports and ProMonitor recording systems. 3. Administrative Operations Support Maintain supplies of stationery and other essentials. Handle phone queries and manage filing, scanning, and archiving tasks. Keep records of learner referrals for assessments and support services. 4. Health and Safety Ensure personal and collective adherence to the College’s Health & Safety policies. 5. Additional Duties Deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders. Foster good relations and actively promote equality and diversity. Undertake other duties as required, commensurate with the role. Person Specification Qualifications Essential: Level 2 equivalent in ICT or Administration qualifications or relevant experience. GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent. Desirable: Experience in an FE College, SEND, or assessments role. Experience Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience supporting learners. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Essential: Strong administrative and record-keeping skills. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable: Experience in managing learning support or exam arrangements. Special Circumstances Willingness to undergo training as required. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if necessary. Disposition and Approach Positive attitude toward routine and challenging tasks.
