This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. This role involves providing essential support to partners, solicitors, and other legal professionals, ensuring the efficient handling of litigation cases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting partners and solicitors with casework as required.
* Attending court hearings, liaising with witnesses, taking detailed notes, and preparing attendance reports.
* Preparing trial bundles and briefs for counsel.
* Conducting legal research and summarising findings.
* Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements.
* Reviewing case documentation and preparing summaries of key information.
* Drafting correspondence under the supervision of a solicitor or partner.
* Managing administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and document handling.
* Coordinating medical appointments, engineer inspections, and consultations.
* Performing hand deliveries and collections when required.
* Carrying out any additional duties as assigned by partners.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* A law degree or equivalent qualification (preferred).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A commitment to delivering excellent client service.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A flexible and proactive attitude.
* Competency in IT and case management systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and ALB (Document Management System) (training will be provided).
