Salary: £26,000 annually increasing to £28,000 annually after probation

Overview
Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a skilled and proactive Transport Co-ordinator in Wrexham. Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee and manage day-to-day transport operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods in compliance with operational requirements, legal standards, and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule Coordination: Work with the Planner to organise farm collections and customer deliveries, adjusting schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
* Delivery Management: Ensure timely and safe deliveries, maintaining compliance with safety standards and customer expectations.
* Vehicle Maintenance: Monitor vehicle maintenance, address defects reported by drivers, and ensure regular inspections are conducted.
* Driver Scheduling: Maintain driver records and organise daily schedules to ensure smooth operations.
* Loading Coordination: Coordinate with Despatch to ensure accurate loading of goods based on the Planner’s schedule.
* Driver Briefing: Brief and debrief drivers at the start and end of each shift, addressing any issues promptly.
* Utilisation Tracking: Track driver utilisation and maintain accurate KPI data to ensure efficient resource use.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with transport regulations and maintain cleanliness and safety of vehicles.
* Record Management: Manage spreadsheets for maintenance and recharges, keeping clear records for reporting.
* Urgent Issue Handling: Handle urgent calls outside normal hours to address any logistical issues.
Essential Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the transport sector; experience in transport planning is advantageous.
* Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of transport laws and regulations, as well as health and safety practices within the transport industry.
* Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
* Flexibility: Flexibility to adapt to business needs, including adjusting working hours when required.
* Computer Skills: Proficient in using computer systems including spreadsheets, email, and databases.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver clear instructions and reports.
