We are looking for someone with a passion for training and development to join our team and deliver solutions which support our business goals. The role is a focal point for training, learning and development, including the on-going roll-out, maintenance and monitoring of our training, competency and learning management system. This includes working closely with site superusers and management teams, data entry, monitoring and reporting of compliance, training personnel and creating e-learning content.
A key focus will be the creation and implementation of development plans aligned to our strategic objectives, and as such you should have experience, whilst being comfortable training and presenting to different audiences. You will have a role in the recruitment of apprentices and graduates, sourcing potential candidates through partner engagements with universities, colleges and industry bodies for example. Networking and relationship building skills are therefore required. Further, you will be able to develop succession and talent planning models, ensuring consistency of delivery.
Other responsibilities include booking and organisation of group wide training for example, training related to supervision, management and ad hoc requirements. You will also support, through central reporting of training and competency, that our locations are compliant with key requirements. With this knowledge, you will also support the responses to related questions during auditing and tendering. This may involve responding and presenting to our customers.
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate your enthusiasm for end-to-end development of people. You will be a self-starter, using initiative to unlock diverse talent pipelines, build networks, create training content and support people through their development. You will also be driven to ensure critical safety training and competency requirements are met, working closely with HSEQ and site management. We are looking for someone with a bit of know-how who is creative and curious about emerging trends and technologies. We will be looking to you to be our expert, supporting our people on the path to success. Development requires change, which is not always straight forward and therefore resilience and a focus on priorities is required.
If the above describes you and you like the sound of the role, then please get in touch to discuss. You will work alongside people who share your passion for people development.
