Monday - Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 1:30pm finish

Sunbury on Thames
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for Purchasing from MRP system to assigned planner workbench, and follow action messages to keep material receipts aligned to business needs, including sub-contract orders.
2. Develop personal savings plan to offset headwinds.
3. Ensure parts and material are bought at the most competitive price, correct quality, lead-time, and are delivered on-time for production.
4. Manage and control company's external suppliers within business cell structure.
5. Develop relationships with current Suppliers and sub-contractors.
6. Process all sub-contract operations, ensuring swift turnaround of parts in line with business needs.
7. Ensure key relationships are built with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Implement personal savings and on-cost tracker.
9. Ensure the timely return of all defective material and ensure corrective actions are put in place to prevent reoccurrence.
10. Assist with MRP system updates.
11. Drive improvements in Supplier On-Time Delivery with key and non-key accounts.
12. Continually improve Purchasing methods and drive down external spend.
Professional Knowledge & Experience:
1. Preferred Purchasing experience within an Aerospace / Defence / Manufacturing environment with some technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
2. Basic understanding of Engineering Drawings.
3. Ability to negotiate with proven results to demonstrate effectiveness.
4. Able to communicate and influence at all levels of the hierarchy through presentations, verbal, and written especially directed at Supplier interaction.
5. Ability to work on their own as much as part of a team.
Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm
Friday 8am - 1.30pm
