To be considered for this role you must have excellent experience working with children with special needs; in addition to having relevant qualifications. It is desirable you have knowledge of needs including ASD, ADHD and SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health). The amazing teaching staff at this school work as a team to support children not just with their learning but developing and growing as individuals. Your predominant duties will include offering 1:1 support as well interventions outside the main classroom. You must be able to handle situations calmly, bringing a positive, patient attitude to the environment. You will not be expected to plan or mark, but offering creative enthusiasm to lessons is vital Morning briefings will take place to plan the day as a team, it is a great opportunity to speak to senior staff members regarding students progress. Hours of work will be 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, this will be an immediate start.
