Job Title: Audit Senior
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire.
Salary: £50-60k
Our client, a well-established firm of accountants, is seeking an Audit Senior.
Your duties will include:
1. Leading on-site audits, implementing agreed plans through to completion, coordinating on-site resources, and allocating the team to tasks and timescales for completion.
2. Leading on audit quality, ensuring adherence and compliance with company practice and auditing standards.
3. Working closely with audit juniors, reviewing their work, and supporting them in the development of their role.
4. Responsible for the on-site audit findings report, identifying and documenting any areas of concern/risks identified by the audit team, emphasizing relevant messages, and submitting for review.
5. Developing good client relationships to adapt approach and communication, ensuring client satisfaction.
6. Understanding the impact on client relationships where multiple services are offered across the business to the same client and working with the rest of the teams to ensure a great client experience.
7. Offering support to team members and across other teams, sharing knowledge as appropriate and personally getting involved.
8. Identifying where work overlaps; potential areas of conflict and opportunities, and taking actions to maximize cross-team working.

7. Ability to monitor and check the accuracy of work and develop others to solve problems.

Qualifications and experience:
1. ACCA or ACA Qualified.
2. 4-5 years' post qualification working in a similar environment (e.g., regional accountancy firm).
3. Experience of overseeing, training, and developing audit juniors on-site and in the office on assigned clients.
4. Experience of working with groups of companies/companies that are growing with possible MBOs, funding requirements, plans to sell in the foreseeable future, business acquisitions, and group restructurings.
5. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
