Role The Internal Recruitment Specialist is responsible for managing the internal staffing process across multiple business functions, ensuring that key leadership, technical, and operational roles are filled efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, this role supports the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Business Directors, ensuring that internal hiring strategies align with workforce planning and business objectives. This role covers staffing for positions across Talent Acquisition, Business Management, Technical Operations, and Leadership roles. The specialist will play a key role in identifying and engaging internal talent, developing succession pipelines, and supporting strategic workforce planning to strengthen the business from within. Responsibilities Internal Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Partner with SLT and Business Directors to assess internal hiring needs and align recruitment efforts with business strategy. Act as a key advisor on internal mobility, succession planning, and workforce development. Identify high-potential employees for promotion or lateral moves, ensuring a structured and transparent approach to internal recruitment. Maintain a strong pipeline of internal candidates, leveraging performance data and career development plans. Candidate Engagement & Selection Work closely with hiring managers to assess skills, competencies, and readiness of internal candidates for open positions. Conduct structured interviews, competency-based assessments, and provide guidance on candidate suitability. Ensure a positive internal candidate experience, maintaining high engagement levels throughout the hiring process. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Act as a bridge between HR, Talent Acquisition, and Business Leaders to ensure seamless internal staffing processes. Support line managers in navigating internal recruitment policies and best practices. Provide data-driven insights and reports on internal hiring trends, retention, and workforce mobility. Work with Learning & Development teams to ensure internal candidates receive appropriate training and development opportunities for career progression. Process Optimisation & Employer Branding Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal recruitment processes to enhance efficiency and transparency. Support employer branding initiatives, championing internal career progression and talent development. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within internal hiring practices. Required Experience 1-2 years experience in internal recruitment, talent acquisition, or workforce planning. Experience working with leadership teams to facilitate internal hiring and succession planning. Exposure to recruitment within engineering, technology, or business management sectors is advantageous. Required Skills Strong ability to manage end-to-end internal recruitment processes. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership. Ability to use workforce data to drive strategic hiring decisions. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
