We are seeking a qualified and experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our Clinical Care Department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing, planning, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality care to children with complex healthcare needs, such as cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders, within their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Comprehensive Care Assessments: Conduct detailed evaluations of children's health needs, considering medical, social, cultural, and family circumstances.
* Care Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the highest standards of care.
* Family Support and Education: Provide essential support and education to families, assisting them in understanding their child's condition and care requirements.
* Coordination of Clinical Appointments: Assist families in navigating and coordinating clinical appointments, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers.
* Staff Supervision and Training: Observe, monitor, and mentor care staff, ensuring competency and adherence to care plans and protocols.
* Safeguarding and Reporting: Identify and report safeguarding concerns promptly, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
* Complaint and Compliment Management: Address feedback from families professionally, striving for continuous improvement in service delivery.
* Referral Management: Respond to new referrals efficiently, conducting initial assessments and facilitating the onboarding process for new clients.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
* Registered Nurse (Child) with valid NMC registration.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in paediatric nursing, preferably with a focus on complex care needs.
* Proficiency in conducting comprehensive care assessments and developing individualized care plans.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and educate families effectively.
* Experience in supervising and training care staff is desirable.
* Valid UK driving license is preferred due to the nature of the role.
