Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen at East Cheshire NHS Trust for a Senior Midwife to apply for the Perinatal Mental Health Lead. We are looking to recruit an experienced Midwife to provide a high level of visible leadership, management and clinical expertise in the community setting and maternity unit. This role will include split clinical and management time. Hours per week: 37.5 hours, compressed hours may be considered. Fixed Term or secondment for 12 months Main duties of the job To play a key role in developing and maintaining high standards of care for women with mental health problems in pregnancy and the postnatal period, and their families. To provide a high level of clinical expertise, leadership and management in the maternity department, and community as required. Be responsible for providing specialist support and care to pregnant women with more severe mental health problems, in partnership with their own midwife and the specialist perinatal mental health team. Work closely with women and their families to plan and coordinate their care based on their individual needs. Participate in the on-call rota as required in the provision of the 24 hour service.
