If you are an innovative individual who would like to lead a team that supports a world class service and bring your expertise and skills in radiology to the team, we would like to hear from you.
In turn we will support you to help you grow in your role and take your career in the direction you want to go. We’ll help you be the best you can be. When you’re part of the Practice Plus Group team, you don’t just have a job. You have a career.
Everything we do is focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care.
We want our team members to feel motivated and rewarded. So we offer a competitive package of pay and benefits. We also recognise the value of a healthy work-life balance – so we always try to be flexible, helping you fit your working life around your home life.
What you'll be doing
As Lead MRI/Deputy Diagnostic Imaging Manager, you will be supported by our experienced Diagnostic Imaging Manager and Clinical Services and our Practice Plus Group Diagnostic Imaging Lead. You will be responsible for managing the radiology department. This will include ensuring the provision of a high quality, safe and cost effective service. You will take responsibility for clinical and professional standards, staffing and governance as well as developing relationships with neighbouring acute NHS trusts and CCG’s.
Your leadership and clinical skills will help you to provide support and encourage all staff working in the radiology department. We encourage sharing of best practice across our site to develop your skills and take advantage of our excellent clinical leadership knowledge.
The shift pattern reflects the needs of the business and will be flexible as required to manage the demand. A standard week would be working 4 days on a 9.5hr day after breaks.
What we’ll look for in you

You will bring with you a broad knowledge of techniques for all radiological modalities including x-ray, theatre radiography and MRI. You will also have experience of analysing x-ray images and be able to recognise abnormalities.
