Responsibilities of the Sales Manager are as follows:
1. Managing and running the sales territory
2. Sales of a full range of CNC machine tools (from 2 axis lathes to 5 axis machining centers)
3. Responsible for generating new business
4. Maintaining and managing existing customer accounts
5. Closing sales and maintaining post-sales contact with new and existing users
6. Professional approach to achieving sales targets within the designated sales area and keeping costs within budget
7. Driving the opportunity pipeline for the sales territory
Experience required for the Sales Manager:
1. Must have a Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification (ideally minimum ONC/OND).
2. Essential to have served an apprenticeship, with a full engineering background and knowledge of CNC machining/programming/applications.
3. Sales experience within the Machine Tools Metal Cutting industry is essential.
4. Possess strong communication skills.
5. Possess innovative problem-solving skills.
6. Assertive, professional, and proactive.
7. Committed to relationship building with existing and new customers.
8. Passionate about customer experience and delivering 100% customer satisfaction.
9. Excellent IT skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of software.
10. Experienced in the use of a Sales CRM system, e.g., Salesforce.
11. Must live within the designated sales territory.
