This role is available in Reading, Runcorn, London, or Leeds.
Main Duties of the Job
The Medicines Value and Access (MVA) Directorate seeks to develop evidence-based/data-driven policies that support best outcomes for patient access while securing value for money from medicines.
The Senior Analyst in the Medicine Procurement and Supply Chain (MPSC) team will work as part of a dynamic analytical team supporting the procurement of medicines and management of framework agreements to enable efficiencies in the procurement and security of supply of medicines to the NHS.
The post holder will work closely and collaboratively within the MPSC analytical team and across all MPSC category teams on tenders and contract management.
The post holder will also liaise with NHS trusts, contracted suppliers, and other external stakeholders on the collection of required data and provision of information and insights on medicines spend and achieved savings.

Qualifications
* Educated to post-graduate level in a numerical field or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area.
Skills
* Ability to analyse problems the NHS faces across operational, clinical, and financial domains.
* Must be able to prioritise own work effectively and be able to direct activities of others.
* Consultancy skills; able to understand the real issues underlying a request and manage the scope of work.
Knowledge and Experience
* Subject matter expertise across a number of key areas relating to analysis and statistics.
