AV Installation Engineer

The Role:
As an AV Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of AV systems primarily at Commercial and Corporate sites across London and the Home Counties, with occasional travel further afield as required. Working closely with the AV Project Manager and technical support teams, you will ensure that systems are installed to the highest standard, meeting client specifications and company quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation of AV systems including Video conferencing, digital displays, projectors, sound systems, and control systems in commercial and corporate settings.
2. Work alongside the AV Project Manager to interpret project briefs, ensuring the correct equipment and cabling are installed and commissioned.
3. Provide on-site training and demonstrations to clients on the operation of newly installed systems.
4. Ensure all work complies with company Health & Safety policies and industry regulations.
5. Keep accurate records of installations, stock levels, and any system issues encountered, reporting directly to the AV Project Manager.
6. Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring deadlines are met and customer satisfaction is maintained at all times.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Proven experience in AV system installation, ideally within Commercial or Corporate environments.
2. Strong technical knowledge of AV equipment and systems, including video conferencing, digital signage, control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX), and networked AV solutions.
3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
5. Full UK driving licence is essential.
6. ECS or CSCS certification is advantageous.
Package:
£30,000 - £40,000 basic salary plus travel time and overtime (£5,000 - £10,000 OTE on top)
